As we start our 7th year here at Supply Chain Game Changer, the number of ideas, articles, and the amount of content has never been greater.
We have emerged from the restrictions of the global pandemic of the last few years but the ramifications will still be felt for a long time to come. Significant advances in AI technology (eg. ChatGPT) reflect a realization of a part of our vision of the Digital Supply Chain of the future.

The advances in Artificial Intelligence in 2023 have been staggering. Tools such as ChatGPT are able to emulate human activities and create responses that are incredible.
We thought we would try this amazing technology and we asked ChatGPT to describe what is Supply Chain. Here is the thorough response that we got. For our part we view it as a very reasonable and insightful response. While we may not agree with everything as described, I challenge anyone to honestly discern whether this was created by a human or a computer.

There was a time, not that long ago, when there were very few, if any university accredited Supply Chain courses let alone full programs and degrees. Nowadays however there has been much advancement in this arena, giving students an unprecedented opportunity to train in this career path.

1. The Complexity of the Lego Supply Chain!
Our most popular of our 2023 Top 10 articles was about the Lego Supply Chain. Lego is one of the top toy brands in the world, and their range of endless products and new set releases made us interested in understanding the complexity of this remarkable Supply Chain.
For some people they may think this is a simple Supply Chain of injection molded plastic parts. In reality there are millions of combinations and permutations of colours, types of pieces, and sortations required to create displays from the unique sets of parts (from hundreds to thousands) they are able to flawlessly assemble and distribute.
