What are Amazon Prime Days and What You Need to Know!

Amazon Prime Days

Amazon’s Prime sale is back under a new name, Prime Big Deal Days. Amazon, one of the biggest online retailers, announced it will launch the event on Tuesday, October 10, six weeks before its yearly Black Friday sale.

The Prime Day event runs for 48 hours and features discounted prices on thousands of items like bedding, toys, clothing, home essentials, and televisions. So, here is everything you need to know.
Great Deals During Amazon Prime Days

Prime Days presents an excellent opportunity to save on your shopping. During the event, Amazon runs deep discounts on certain products, allowing you to purchase them at much lower prices. The event caters to the needs of everyone.

If you are a savvy shopper, look out for discounts from brands like iRobot vacuums, Echo smart speakers, and Kindle eBooks. Use a price comparison site like Bestreviews.Guide to help you discover the best deals.

Moreover, the company works with top brands like LG, Sony, Peloton, and Dyson, meaning the quality of the products is top-notch. Prime Days run markdowns on a collection of products, so you can be sure you will find the item you want.

Preparing for Prime Day Deals

You need to be Amazon’s Prime member to access Prime Day deals. You should create your account to become a member, after which you can take several steps to ensure you get all the Prime Day deals.

Some ways to ensure you get alerts include:

  • Get the newsletter – Amazon often sends newsletters through email to alert its customers of upcoming sales. Specifically, pay attention to the Prime Insider newsletter for updates on events and deals. The newsletter also lets you know the member benefits you can check out.
  • Create alerts for personalized deal recommendations – As a Prime member, you can opt-in to receive deal alerts related to your recent searches or viewed items. All you have to do is visit the Prime Day page before Prime Day and create alerts. Once the day arrives, Amazon will send you a push notification on available deals.
  • Receive deal alerts from Alexa – You can ask Alexa to alert you about products you add to your Cart, Wish List, or Save For Later. It’s simple to do this: you ask Alexa to add the item you are interested in into your cart and then notify you when the deal is live. Also, you can set reminders for alerts when Prime Day begins.

How to Make a Purchase

Amazon has a Prime Day page where you can check for announcements, updates, and all the deals they will offer during the event. You can contact the customer service team if you want to clarify anything.

Each deal comes with a set of qualifications, which you must meet to qualify for that deal. Moreover, the company has a page where you can learn more about their deals and how to redeem promotional codes.

The information is under the ‘Promotions and Membership Programs section. You will need this information to avoid last-minute frustrations, especially if you are new to Prime Day.

On Prime Days, watch the upcoming sales you are interested in by going to the Prime Day page and selecting Watch this deal. An Amazon app makes this easier since you get a push notification about a deal five minutes before it starts.

Countries Eligible for Prime Day

Your country, sadly, might prevent you from participating in Amazon Prime Days. The sale is not available everywhere, so you must know if your country is eligible.

The last Prime Day sale was open to Prime members in Belgium, Brazil, Austria, Australia, Canada, Brazil, France, China, and Germany. It also occurred in the US, the UK, Spain, Singapore, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Japan, and Italy.

Prime Days were available for the first time in Poland, India, Sweden, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. If you are unsure if Prime Days will be available in your country, you can confirm with Amazon before the sale day.

Lastly, Amazon strives to deliver the items you purchase fast. So you will not have to wait long to receive your order. Alternatively, you can pick up your item the same day if you live near their physical stores.

  1. Good article on Prime Day as far as customers are concerned. But it ignores how employees are treated and how many hours they are required to work in preparing for and working during those days.
