Ever since the Americans with Disabilities Act was passed in 1990, universities and colleges have had a legal obligation to make their campuses accessible for wheelchair users. But that, however, doesn’t mean that all of them do their part.
Ramps that are too steep, narrow doorways and corridors, lack of wheelchair-friendly student accommodation – all of these issues aren’t unheard of. But some colleges and universities are more accessible for wheelchair users than others.
