Shared Working Spaces are Great for Business Growth!

Unchaining Change Leadership

Over the years, business models have changed immensely to become much more dynamic and flexible. Businesses are now open to exploring ideas that might have, a few years ago, seemed outlandish and absurd. The concept of coworking or using shared working spaces is one such notion.

Most businesses consider the traditional, employee-only workspace to be the one most conducive to productivity. However, when analyzing employee satisfaction, the shared workspace always comes out on top as a winner.

A shared workspace, or a coworking area, is a communal setting where different entrepreneurs can work together. There are many benefits of working in such environments. It can give you the chance to grow your business exponentially. It can be a much better choice than the costly and often stuffy option of getting your own office. Small businesses, in particular, can benefit immensely from using a coworking space.

This idea is still relatively new, so we understand if you’re still unsure. However, keep reading below, and we’ll be sure to put all your doubts to rest.

Labor Laws: Your Freelancer Might Be An Employee!

It was traditionally the IRS’s regulations on worker status that determined whether to issue a W-2 or 1099 at the end of the year.

The Department of Labor has issued additional guidance in the memo, “Additions to Employee Misclassification Regulation Guidelines,” to clarify how classification of workers should be assessed. The Department explains that employment policies will be evaluated using six different factors such as the degree of employer’s control or right to control the worker and the worker’s investment in facilities.

How Trucking Companies Can Attract Younger Workers!

Trucking is one of the most important industries in all of America, with trucking companies responsible for supporting the vast majority of the nation’s communities and helping to transport countless tons of freights from place to place every single day.  However, the industry is witnessing an unprecedented shortage of workers and needs younger workers.

There are several potential reasons for this. Some experts argue that the rules and regulations of the industry are too strict and off-putting, while others feel that the long hours and risks associated with the job might be making it less attractive to younger people.

If the trucking industry is to survive this crisis and bring in new workers for the many companies across the nation, change is clearly required. Millennials and Gen Z workers could be the answer to the trucker shortage, but how can companies appeal to these generations?

This guide will cover some tips.

Lessons from Bad Bosses!

Unchaining Change Leadership

Over the course of a long career I have worked with and for many, many people.  As I reflect on the bosses I have had it is easy to create a list of those I considered to be good bosses and those I considered to be bad bosses.

But I have also always felt that you can, and should, learn from everyone.  Whether you  consider that they are good, bad or indifferent there are behaviours and qualities that you can see in every person.

Everyone can share similar stories, again both good and bad.  It’s how you react, adapt, adopt, avoid, change, and deal with these behaviours that is important.

Coliving as a Format: Why is it Needed and How to Organize!

A classic coliving, in simple words, is a place where a group of people who are in no way related to each other live.

In the United States, the boom of coworking occurred in the mid-2000s in San Francisco amid rising real estate prices, the mortgage crisis and a new wave of venture capital investments in startups. Now the attempt to co living nyc has not slept.

Young entrepreneurs and researchers – employees of large technology companies (Apple, Tesla, Google) began to collectively rent empty mansions, turn them into work and living space with shared living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, food delivery and cleaning.
